Using nature's perspective

There is a profound relief in encountering something that exists completely outside the frame of human urgency. It recalibrates something in us. Such as hiking in the mountains and seeing nothing but trees for miles, or watching the ocean waves crash along the shore.

We don't all have those things in our backyard, however we do all have the morning. We have whatever grows outside the window. We have the sky. The same sky that's always been there, entirely indifferent to what is happening on our screens.

No amount of aesthetic optimization can beat sitting outside in the early morning when the air is still cool and the day has not yet made its demands.

It's an almost an act of rebellion to refuse the speed. To let the day come to life on it’s own. The light… the coffee… the quiet. Without immediately converting it into content or productivity or evidence of a life well lived.

It starts with a landscape, a familiar deck or yard perhaps. Somewhere you feel a little more human and a lot less robbed of your attention. We hope you find that place and make it your own.
